Remove your battery before cleaning with water.
Dry your bike thoroughly before replacing your battery.
Clean the entire bike with soapy water using a sponge or low-pressure water.
If necessary, clean the connectors with contact cleaner.
Part 2 of 2
Lubricate once a month and after each washing and drying.
Warning
Never use a high-pressure cleaner, water jet or detergent on electrical parts.
Lubricate the drivetrain, chain, rear derailleur, crankset and axle.
Use a wax-based lubricant if your bike is used in dirty conditions (dust/mud).
Use an oil-based lubricant if your bike is used in urban areas (often exposed to water).
